“Infusion” or “infusion therapy” includes the delivery of medications directly into the vein of an individual. This service is also called intravenous or IV administration. Infusion, intravenous, or injectable methods of medication delivery are often used when pill/oral medications are unavailable, insufficient, or inappropriate. A number of the latest medications are derived or made from living cells (biologic) and cannot be consumed orally, like a pill, because they lose their effectiveness once exposed to the GI system. Biologic medications are commonly used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis along with other autoimmune disorders. If you or a loved one are seeking IV therapy in Hattiesburg, MS, request a consultation at a Hattiesburg GI Associates, PLLC location in your community.

Dr. Brown listens to you about what’s going on with you. Then he gives you his advice and opinion about which way we should go with your health issue.

The staff was courteous and friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I was in in a timely manner and my exit was good too. The only thing I feel they can improve on, is that when a patient has a midday appointment, they should have crackers or something to help make up the fast from the day before the procedure. Something would help that person who is so hungry from trying to eat things they shouldn’t. LOL. But all-in-all everything went as scheduled.
