Esophageal dilation is commonly carried out as an endoscopic procedure to handle gastrointestinal concerns that come with the constricting (also known as a stricture) of the esophagus.

The most commonly employed technique is balloon dilation, in which a balloon is implanted at the spot of the stricture using the camera on an endoscope and then inflated to spread the esophagus. Esophageal dilation is not used as a system to cure any disorders or conditions, but as a therapeutic treatment to alleviate symptoms. For this reason, you could need to receive esophageal dilation therapy numerous times, contingent on the nature of your issue. If you are in need of esophageal dilation in Hattiesburg, MS, please contact one of our offices for more information.

The staff was courteous and friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I was in in a timely manner and my exit was good too. The only thing I feel they can improve on, is that when a patient has a midday appointment, they should have crackers or something to help make up the fast from the day before the procedure. Something would help that person who is so hungry from trying to eat things they shouldn’t. LOL. But all-in-all everything went as scheduled.
